L’Once is the conceptual cinematic electronica project of Mexican drummer and composer Javier Macías-Burdick.
Operating at the intersection of film scoring, industrial sound design, and conceptual art, Javier approaches composition not as a blank canvas, but as an architectural challenge. Defining his process as "Structural Determinism," Javier builds musical environments governed by strict internal logic rather than traditional songwriting habits. Whether it is mapping a tempo to a decelerating heart rate or translating a biological timeline into a time signature, he uses "musical biomimicry" to score the physiology of the human experience.
His sound is a collision of two worlds: the ancient emotional weight of the orchestra and the visceral physics of modern electronic instruments. His music invites the listener to observe the complexity of their own condition.
His debut project, BLANCO, serves as the first blueprint in this ongoing study of virtue through sound.
